I just got a copy of Elisa Strauss' "Confetti Cakes Cookbook." WOW! This is a really great baking cookbook. It covers designer cookies, cakes and cupcakes. The projects are inspired and a bit complicated, but Strauss breaks it down so that home cooks can actually make New York City special confections.
The pocketbook cake on the front cover really looks like a purse. It has a handle and bow and cute little flowers. There are cakes that look like little gift boxes and like bags of popcorn. Really, the ideas are amazing. No wonder Elisa is tops in New York City with her super special cakes.
I was given the opportunity to gift some books to onliners. Check out the details. I'd love to hear some memories or have you guys share family favorite baked recipes, but it's fine to just let me know that you want to be in the contest. I know that everyone doesn't write. If you can't come up with any ideas, just enter anyway. That's fine. I'm just sure winners will be thrilled with this cookbook. I know I was excited when I opened it up.
