After all the cooking and eating today, I'm thinking of quick and easy recipes. We'll have turkey and ham sandwiches and warm up some the trimmings, but teen boys can't live on that forever.
Here are some of our favorite family recipes for after the holidays. They're all quick and easy and don't taste like turkey or the side dishes served with the big meal of the year.
Bacon and Cheese Sandwiches - We're picky about ours. Here are our family tips for great bacon cheese sandwiches.
Taco Soup - This recipe is similar to chili beans but with a Mexcian zip. I just pour the cans in the crock pot and go shopping on Black Friday or can mix the items up quickly when I get home and have this ready to eat quick.
Pan Fried Potatoes - A Southern classic. We eat these with a salad and call it a meal. Not too often. But it's a quickie and always a favorite after the holidays.
Baked Cheese Fish - Sounds YUCK. But this is a delicous way to cook fish. Another good to serve with salad.
Killer Hot Wings - These buffalo wings rock. We eat them, of course, with celery and Ranch dressing.
Hamburger French Fry Casserole - Another reason to go to the gym - but oh so tasty. The kids always go nuts for this at pot luck dinners too.
