Crock Pots Come in Handy Over the Holidays

Don't forget to pull out your crock pot while you're making holiday meals. You can do so much with a crock pot.

I've always loved crock pots, and I have several. My favorite is my crock pot with dividers. I bought the GE divided crock pot originally, because I wanted to make a crock pot turkey breast. The turkey breast I bought would not fit in my standard size crock pot.

There were a lot of large oval sized crock pots that would work for my turkey breast, but the one with dividers caught my eye. I could think of all kinds of possibilities.

I've not been disappointed with my divided crock pot. It's been really handy.

Over the holidays, I put mashed potatoes in one side and gravy on the other. This keeps them warm. I actually cook the potatoes and gravy on the stove and use the divided crock pot just as a warmer.

Another favorite is to make two dips in the divided crock pot. One side can be mild and the other spicy, or I can mix up two entirely different hot dip recipes.

Lit's Smokies are also perfect for the divided crock pot. Try two different sauces from my Little Smokies Recipe collection.
