Yes. You can call Butterball Turkey and talk . . . well . . . turkey. Just try not to sound quite as clueless as some who call up Butterball.

There's just something a bit scary about a huge bird that needs to be stuffed, rubbed and baked in time for one of the biggest meals of the year - Thanksgiving.

Seriously, how many days does it really take to thaw out a fully frozen turkey? Which side is the top of the turkey? How do you carve up such a beast and still have an attractive table? How hot do you need to heat the turkey if you stuff it to and want to make sure you don't give everyone food poisoing?

You can, of course, find all these answers online. But if you are the impatient type or are not a great Internet surfer, then just ring up Butterball at 1-800-BUTTERBALL. You can get help M-F from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST.

Some people think the turkey help hotline is an urban legend. Snopes covers this with some really funny examples of questions that have been asked of the turkey help line helpers.

Whether you want to make a traditional oven baked turkey or need some help with your corn bread dressing, Butterball is as close as the telephone or cell phone.
