Grill Grate Cleaning Tip

Ugh. Grills can get really nasty and really fast. Clean up is not a job anyone wants on the "to do" list.

If you want a quicker and easier way to clean your grill grates (the metal parts where the food sits), then here is one that you will love.

Get a large black garbage bag.

Pour about a cup of household cleaning ammonia in the garbage bag. It's really inexpensive.

Put the grates in the black bag and tie with one of the twist ties. Shake the bag up real well.

Let this sit all day in the sun. The heat on the black bag will really make the potion perk.

Remove the grates. They will wipe off much easier. This works for gas or charcoal grill grates though charcoal grates tend to get the dirtiest.
