Tainted Spinach from California Linked to 106 Complaints

At least 106 people got sick and one died after eating spinach contaminated with e.coli.


Be sure to check your produce and consider throwing out any products including raw spinach. The recent e.coli outbreak has been traced to a specific farm in California, but other baggers of produce mixes purchased from the grower.

This spinach scare has caused a stir about the FDA. They monitor produce. Many experts are saying one single organization should manage all foods and that the FDA is grossly unstaffed to really check out the fresh foods market. Some companies may only be evaluated once every ten years currently.
