Deadly Peanut Butter? - Save Lid

Peanut Butter Recall - Is the System Nuts?

The word got out about the peanut butter sickness, but it was a little late and a little lax. Is this the way we want to deal with food issues in the U.S.?

I've been following the peanut butter problems and thankful that I'm a "choosey mother" and buy Jiff. I prefer the heavier peanut taste in Jiff and very rarely buy any other brand not matter how great the sale may be.

An article on peanut butter caught my eye. While it might be hard to prove that the elderly lady mentioned in the piece died due to eating contaminated peanut butter, it certainly sounds fishy or peanut-buttery (in this case).

Even more alarming is the information that suggests that this may be the way our food, in general, is handled. I'd sure hate to be listed as going down with congestive heart failure when it was a peanut butter sandwich that did me in.

Get my death right and make sure it doesn't happen to others (if it's a product issue). It's not a sin to make a mistake. It's is to know about the mistake and not follow up and take action.
