Cook Out Fast Food

I think they are keeping the Cook Out restaurant a secret. I had to call to request information.

Most fast food chains market heavily. Cook Out seems to be an exception.

I first heard of Cook Out when my son went hunting with a college student. They stopped at Cook Out, and my son came home raving about the food. He loved getting a burger AND hush puppies at the same joint.

Within a few months, a Cook Out popped up here in town. My son said, "Hey. That's the restaurant I told you about."

The whole family packed up and went to Cook Out. Yum. It really was good. The burgers are cooked over flames and have the outdoor cooked taste. The chili cheese fries were fabulous. The milk shakes were thick and rich. The whole feeling was very down home.

Cook Out is based out of Florida and has more recently taken off in North Carolina. I think they have 13 Cook Outs in NC right now and plans for more.

They don't have a web page. Imagaine that! The manager did give me the phone number for the home office. The girl there said that they were North Carolina's "best kept secret" and that she'd have a PR person get in touch.

I'll update when I get more information. In the meantime, if you see a restaurant called Cook Out, check them out. The food is really good. The prices are below the average. The one here in town even had 104 score from the health dept, and I thought 100 was the top grade.
